I bought in spite of the âstankâ reviews. It in fact, does NOT smell great. My best explanation of the smell would be⦠That oil our GREAT grandmas used for pain mixed with that Black Opal fragrance. If thatâs you thing, youâll love it. But if youâre like the rest of the population the smell will make you grimace. As far as its effectiveness, just get bio oil or prescription scar medicine or laser. This is not going to give you any results.Itâs a good oil to use in general I guess. I use it after a shower before bed sometimes because itâs a good texture and locks moisture in. That way I can shower the âscentâ off in the morning. The smell does wear off a bit. Although I have smelled it on my pjs after. But not too bad and it washes right out. As far as texture, itâs thick and smooth. If you want it thinner I recommend mixing a thinner oil like warm coconut oil to cut it a bit.
