Ingredients for Seed Crackers Recipe
To make this delicious and healthy snack, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- The SEEDS
- 3/4 cup of Sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup of Pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cup of Flax seeds
- 1/4 of Chia seeds
- The FLAVOURINGS
- Salt – to your taste
- Optional pinch of turmeric and or chilli powder – I add these 2 and salt.
- Smoked paprika and or garlic salt or dried rosemary
- Even more optional – dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori mehti)
How to Make Seed Crackers
Now that we have our ingredients, let’s move on to the instructions:
- Mix all the seeds together in a large bowl
- Add your flavourings as you like
- Add 3/4 cup of water to bind and mix carefully with a spoon
- Leave the mixture on a counter top for about 20 minutes
- Mix once again and then spread the mixture between 2 layers of baking paper that you can fit onto a baking tray. You may need two smaller baking trays to spread thinly.
THAT IS THE HARDEST PART. TAKE YOUR TIME ON THIS FOR A THIN, CRISPER CRACKER.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 170 degrees for around 15 minutes
- Cracker mix should turn golden
- Leave to cool, then roughly break into pieces
- Store in air-tight container

What to Do with the Broken Bits
Just whizz them up into rough breadcrumbs and use as coating for fishcakes or anything else that needs a gluten-free coating. So delicious!
