With two flight attendants in the family I can attest to the need for leak proof containers.These are great, NO LEAKS!I think the key is that this product has a flip over tab to help keep the lid shut tight. Valve seems to keep things sealed completely.My spouse has used the original ones for 2+ years and probably for 100+ flights – mostly to carry creamer for her early AM hotel coffees.
